RobO – Naman

Name: Naman Jain
Grade: 8
Centre: Charni road
Place: Mumbai

Level in Eduprime robotics: 2

Project Details: RobO, is the look alike model of a humanoid. It is a good start for a beginner in robotics to get the essence of a humanoid moving around. Naman developed this combining his Maker Breaker Junior kit and Metrix Junior kit. The Metrix Junior kit was used to assemble the whole robot and Maker Breaker Junior kit was used to fit the electronic components in it.

The Metrix junior remote controlled RobO. RobO had two LEDs which resembles the eyes of the humanoid. It also had a structure for the arms which are stretched forward, as it can carry certain object. The wheels attached to motor are used for its movement. It also had an interesting addition to it; a Buzzer would emit sound whenever the RobO moves in reverse direction. This is what happens exactly in our cars when we move it in reverse direction.

The RobO could turn around, move forward or backward and spin with ease. Of course, you need to develop the skill to drive and control it. Or you could also bang it on to the wall just like Naman in his first few test drives. Do try the RobO, all the best!
